Tasting notes
Sight. A noble color between old mahogany and ebony. Very bright.
Smell. It has an intense nose, featuring notes of vanilla and forest brush proceeding from its long years of aging.
Taste. Complex and majestic on the palate, with a buttery and creamy finish, along with velvety notes.
Consumption Preference:
Consume just to enjoy all its organoleptic characteristics, with ice, or as an excellent ingredient in cocktails and long drinks.
Pairing:
It’s best paired with dried fruits like raisins, prunes and figs will boost its majestic and complex flavor.
ABV: 40%
Aging time: Aged 25 years in vintage American oak barrels primed with Palo Cortado; an average age of 20 years, employing the classic Jerez criaderas & soleras system.
Elaboration:
Brandy made from distillates (holandas) of excellent wines long aged in oak barrels. Duque de Alba becomes the ingredient for, at the same time, Gran Duque de Alba Oro, advancing through the tier-based aging process comprised of five levels (criaderas) until it reaches the solera (bottom row) again.
